64th Street now open to traffic

Work linked to new development took longer than planned.

Traffic is again moving along 64th Street between 147th Avenue and 32nd Street in Laketown Township.

The road opened Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, after being closed since Oct. 23 for storm pipe installation linked to the new Laketown Meadows development. There are 28 units planned for the area on the east side of 64th Street.

The road was originally planned to be closed for about a week.

Paving was delayed by cold, wet weather.
