Free birding program at Farview Park on Tuesday
Outdoor Discovery Center leads walk in search of migratory birds.

Get your binoculars ready and keep your eyes to the sky for the Migratory Birds program at Laketown Township’s Farview Nature Park on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
The free event is 4-5:30 p.m. at the park, 6257 138th Ave., and is led by the Outdoor Discovery Center and sponsored by the Laketown Township Parks and Recreation Commission.
Learn to identify birds while hiking the trails with a naturalist in search of spring migrants such as warblers, vireos, flycatchers and shorebirds. Participants will also clean up the trail throughout the walk, helping the habitats these birds need to survive. This program is for any level of birder, from interested to expert.
Binoculars and field guides are available for loan.
Suggested age range is 8 years old and up. Guardians stay with the class.
Registration is not required but appreciated.
