Cast early ballots at township hall for Aug. 4 Primary Election

The public test is conducted to demonstrate that the computer programming used to tabulate the votes cast at the election meets the requirements of Michigan election law. The election is on Aug. 4 with early voting July 25 through Aug.2 at the township hall.

Early voting for the Aug. 4, 2026, Primary Election begins Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Laketown Township Hall, 4338 Beeline Road.

All precincts early vote at the township hall.

Early voting runs daily through Aug. 2.

The primary election is Tuesday, Aug. 4. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on that day.

Voters in Precinct 2 cast their ballots on Election Day at Graafschap Fire Department, 5434 60th St. Precinct 1 and Precinct 3 vote at the township hall.

About the ballot

Aug. 4 is a primary election.

Voters choose Republican or Democrat candidates for state and federal offices. Voters must choose a party and vote only for that party’s candidates. Do not cross party lines.

Voters will also choose judges.

Voters will decide the Allegan County Senior Citizen Services millage renewal.

ALLEGAN COUNTY SENIOR CITIZEN SERVICES MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSAL

For the purpose of providing funds for services to senior citizens in Allegan County, shall Allegan County be authorized to levy a millage annually in an amount not to exceed 0.4753 mill ($0.4753 per each $1,000 of taxable value), which is a renewal of the previously authorized millage rate that expired in 2025, against all taxable property within Allegan County, for a period of four (4) years, 2026 through 2029, inclusive? The estimate of the revenue the County will collect in the first year (2026) if the millage is approved and levied by the County is approximately $3,766,422.
