Felt announces acts for summer concerts
Blue Water Ramblers, 6 Pak, Zion Lion, Lighting Matches, Kari Lynch performing in July.
The stage has been set for summer nights in Laketown Township at the Felt Estate’s 2026 concert series.
The free Thursdays at the Felt concerts are July 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 at the Carriage House, 6597 138th Ave., in view of the historic Felt Mansion. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Food and drink service begins at 6 p.m. Music begins at 7 p.m.
“This concert series is truly one of my favorite traditions at the Felt. There’s something special about seeing families and neighbors gather on the lawn, enjoying music together,” said Elizabeth McEwen, executive director of the Felt Estate.
The performers
The series begins July 2 with the Blue Water Ramblers who write their own songs and sing traditional music with modern themes — the songs of Michigan, America and life. The group’s repertoire comes from Michigan life experiences and the history of the Great Lakes.
On July 9, the band 6 Pak will perform. The high energy, all female rock ’n’ roll band plays a variety of music from the 1960s, 1970s and more.
On July 16, Zion Lion, a band from the Kalamazoo area, performs a mix of reggae, African zouk, mucosa, soukous and some Afro-Latin influences.
On July 23, Lighting Matches, an alternative rock band based in Grand Rapids, brings driving guitar riffs and harmonies.
On July 30, Michigan native Kari Lynch returns to the Felt stage with her unique blend of Americana, pop-rock, alternative and singer-songwriter influences. Lynch recorded official music video for “Sleeping Just Fine” at The Felt Estate.
Food, beverages and parking
This year’s food vendor has not yet been announced.
No outside alcohol is allowed but outside food and sealed beverage containers are permitted. Coolers and bags will be checked. No pets except registered service dogs.
In case of inclement weather, cancellation will be announced by 5 p.m. via email and website www.feltmansion.org/current-events.
A $5 premium parking option close to the venue is available. Free parking is still available by the Felt Mansion solar array and at Shore Acres Park.
One of the sponsors this year is Michigan Arts and Culture Council.
“We’re deeply thankful to the Michigan Arts and Culture Council for their support, and to our community for making this such a vibrant and welcoming event each year,” McEwen said.
