Hallam sworn in as deputy clerk

Deputy clerk assists with elections, township records.

Zoann Hallam took the oath of office to become deputy clerk for Laketown Township on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024.

Hallam was appointed to the position in November by new Clerk Jim Delaney. Deputy Clerk Jenifer French will retire at the end of the year.

The deputy clerk assists the clerk with elections, maintenance of the State of Michigan Qualified Voter File, maintenance of all township records and notices, and cemetery administration among other duties.

Hallam started in the Laketown office in 2023.
