Household hazardous waste collection is Saturday, June 7
Vouchers are required and can be picked up at the Republic Services before the collection date.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day for Laketown Township residents is Saturday, June 7, from 8-11:30 a.m. at Republic Services of Holland Westshore Recycling, 4368 60th St.
The fall collection day is Sept. 20.
Get voucher before event
To control vehicle traffic and quantities of hazardous waste to be disposed, vouchers are required. Vouchers may be picked up at the Republic Services of Holland scale house before the collection date. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
You will need a valid ID and a current account with Republic to receive a voucher.
Vouchers are only valid for the date noted, must be presented at drop-off and will not be issued on the day of the event.
There is a limit of 200 pounds of material per voucher.
Because of the legal chain of custody required on hazardous waste, you will be required to sign a disposal form. Republic Service reserves the right to reject any items.
What will be accepted
No more than five gallons of liquids per customer.
Accepted Items: Aerosol cans, antifreeze, batteries, battery acids, detergents, degreasers, drain cleaners, fertilizers, gasoline, grease, inks, light bulbs, mercury items, oil, oil-based paints, paint thinner, pesticides, propane, solvents, and thermometers.
Not Accepted: Asbestos items, compost, electronics, freon products, general waste cleaner, latex paint products, lead paint items, tires, ammunition, or flares.
Allegan County event
All Allegan County residents can participate in the free Allegan County Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste Event on Saturday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to noon at Fennville City Hall parking lot, 125 S. Maple St., Fennville.
This is a drive-through event. Volunteers will unload from your vehicle and sort your items. No latex paint.
The last of the Allegan County waste events is Oct. 4, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Otsego Department of Public Works, 243 N. Farmer St., Otsego.
Bring a driver’s license or identification showing Allegan County residency.
