The winners were picked at random by Grams or Alexander, store manager, reaching into an envelope filled with applications. Names or other identifying information were not visible. The person was then assigned a time using, in order, their first, second or third choices, depending on availability.

Fifteen hunters in total were selected for five different time periods from Oct. 1 through Nov. 14 and Dec. 1 through Jan. 1, 2025.

Hunters are required to fill out a questionnaire after the season. Failure to do so will disqualify the hunter from future permits.

The application packet included a list of rules and regulations.

The park property will remain open for hiking, fishing and other recreational activities during hunting times. Signs will be in place in the parking area notifying people that hunting is underway.

For more information, call the township at (616) 335-3050.
