Laketown Township Supervisor and Interim Manager Steven Ringelberg worked with Daryl VanDyke, manager of the Kalamazoo Lake Sewer and Water Authority, on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the township hall, 4338 Beeline Road. The meeting was focused on the requirements for Laketown’s completion of the State of Michigan’s mandatory Distribution System Materials Inventory (CDSMI) for Laketown’s water distribution system in the southern portion of township.

The Kalamazoo Lake Sewer and Water Authority – KLSWA – provides clean drinking water and effective wastewater management for the Saugatuck and Douglas area, including southern parts of Laketown Township around Goshorn Lake.  The northern portions of Laketown Township are served by the Holland Board of Public Works.

“I look forward to working with Daryl, and with representatives of the City of the Village of Douglas, the City of Saugatuck and Saugatuck Township, on continuing to ensure that KLSWA has the resources to provide great service to all of the areas served by KLSWA,” said Ringelberg.

As interim manager, Ringelberg is generally at the township hall approximately 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, as well as most Wednesday evenings for public meetings, and he is happy to meet with township residents when he is not otherwise in meetings with staff, vendors, and other government agencies.

Supervisor’s open office hours
