A reminder will be in your mailbox soon about upcoming meetings for input on local parks.
A postcard with the times and dates for the special events was recently sent out to all township addresses to let people know that the Laketown Township Parks and Recreation Commission is hosting four events at the township hall, 4338 Beeline Road, for residents to share ideas for the five-year update of the parks master plan.
The master plan is needed for grant applications. It also guides decisions about the care and future development of parks and recreational activities.
The meetings are:
Thursday, June 8, at 6 p.m. at the township hall, 4338 Beeline Road.
Saturday, June 10, at 9 a.m. at the township hall, 4338 Beeline Road.
Thursday, July 13, at 6 p.m. at the township hall, 4338 Beeline Road.
Saturday, July 15, at 10 a.m. at the township hall, 4338 Beeline Road.
A parks commissioner will be present at each meeting.
A copy of the current master plan is on the township’s website, laketowntwp.org under “Boards & Commissions” then choose “Parks Commission.”
