MACC leader highlights benefits to township

Macatawa Area Coordinating Council presentation available.

The communities in the Macatawa Area Coordinating Council from a presentation on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, to the Laketown Township Board of Trustees.

Jason Latham, executive director for the Macatawa Area Coordinating, gave an overview of the organization to the Laketown Township Board of Trustees at the Wednesday, April 2, 2025, meeting.

The MACC is a Metropolitan Planning Organization that administers transportation planning.

At the Wednesday meeting, Latham highlighted Laketown’s population growth of 21.30 percent, from 4,888 in 1990 to 5,928 in 2020.

In 2020-2025, Laketown paid $66,000 in dues and its Return on Investment has been $1,628,000.
