Mersman withdraws from manager search
Township board to discuss search on January 15.
A candidate for the Laketown Township manager position has withdrawn from the hiring process.
“Ryan, I am no longer interested in the Laketown position. Please let them know,” Brandon Mersman texted to Ryan Cotton of MGT, the firm leading the search for a new township manager.
On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, the township board voted to extend an offer to Mersman, the current city manager of Bronson, Mich.
The new manager search is on the agenda for the township board’s Wednesday, January 15 meeting. The board meets at 6 p.m. at the township hall, 4338 Beeline Road.
