New gathering space opens in township

Emerson Lounge hosts groups up to 100 people.

The new Emerson Lounge, 3657 63rd St., welcomed the community to an open house earlier this month.

Candice Grant, co-owner with her husband Brian of The Grant Collection, welcomed guests on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, to the remodeled facility that can host an intimate gathering of 10 or a celebration of up to 100 people. The facility includes a custom in-house bar, chandeliers, stylish tables and chairs, and imported vintage furniture.

Laketown Township Supervisor and Interim Manager Steve Ringelberg, Community Development Director Michelle Sall and Deputy Clerk Zoann Hallam attended the event.

“The Emerson Lounge looks beautiful and is a welcoming and comfortable space. Laketown Township welcomes Candice and Brian to the township, and we appreciate that they have put the old Red Barn Theatre and Guardian Brewing facilities back into service for the community.”

The facility housed Guardian Brewing that closed in spring 2024. Before that, it was an antique market and was, for decades, a community theater.

The Emerson Lounge is part of The Grant Collection, which includes Port 393 in Holland and Ivy House in Saugatuck Township.
