Gary and Donna Bogle opened a new chapter for the Little Book House at Laketown Township Hall, 4338 Beeline Road, on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. The Holland couple painted the brown wooden box the traditional blue and yellow colors of Rotary International.

The box at the township hall was left in its original color since it was installed four or five years ago, but the group felt it was time to make it stand out more.

The book houses are underwritten by the Rotary Club and Herrick District Library. Rotarians visit the sites – there are 16 of them in the area – to provide free books for the community to use. People can borrow the books at no charge and return them when they finish reading or they can keep the book to read again and again.
