New sign welcomes bike park users at Shore Acres
Michigan’s Edge Mountain Bike Association maintains skill area, cross-country paths.

A new informational sign installed Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, explains the Shore Acres Bike Park Skills Area at Shore Acres Park, 6602 138th Ave., in Laketown Township.
The site is complete and includes tracks for beginners, advanced and areas for expert jump-lines. The sign also shows parts of the 1.9-mile cross-country bike loop.
The sign highlights rules for the skills areas, noting the area is for non-motorized use only, riders should always yield to foot traffic and respect all trail users.

Volunteer Dan Remondino of Michigan’s Edge Mountain Bike Association, the group that oversees the area, installed the sign.
The 40-acre Shore Acres Township Park is owned by Laketown Township. It includes a disc golf course, the biking course and trails, and hiking trails that link to Saugatuck Dunes State Park and Lake Michigan, and the Felt Estate.
