NOTICE: Special board meeting canceled

Tonight’s meeting was to address manager and zoning issues.

The special meeting of the Laketown Township Board of Trustees scheduled for 6 tonight, Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024, has been canceled due to a lack of quorum.

A new date has not yet been announced.

A quorum is the legal number of board members who must be present for a meeting to take place. In the case of the township board, three people are required, but only two could attend tonight.

The special meeting was called last week for the following reasons: The topics of the meeting are (a) the reconsideration of proposed Rezoning Ordinance # 214, (b) the reconsideration of the Genetski manager contract and (c) the interim manager solution between now and when a new manager begins working for the Township.
