The Macatawa Area Coordinating Council is a regional group that encourages cooperation among neighboring units of government on area-wide issues. Membership in the MACC includes Holland and Zeeland cities and the townships of Fillmore, Holland, Laketown, Olive, Park, Port Sheldon, and Zeeland.
There are many transportation planning activities that the MACC, as the metropolitan planning organization, is required to perform. One such task is the development of a Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the MACC planning area.
The TIP, which covers four years, outlines the most immediate implementation priorities for transportation projects and strategies from the MACC’s Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). The LRTP covers the period from 2025 to 2050.
