Road closure expected to last through Friday

The intersection of Saunders Avenue and West 32^nd Street will be closed to through traffic, with lane restrictions on 32^nd Street, through Friday, March 7, 2025.

The Holland Board of Public Works discovered a leak in a water main and crews are repairing it before the leak gets worse, according to Pieter Beyer, BPW superintendent.

Traffic using 32^nd Street between 64^th and 66^th streets should detour to 147^th Avenue, according to a BPW post on its Facebook page.

“We appreciate your patience & understanding while important water main work is being done. We expect the road to reopen next week,” the Facebook post said.

When the work is complete, the area will be covered with gravel with repaving expected next week.

The area remains open to local traffic.

There have been no service interruptions, Beyer said.
