Road work next week on 66th St., 146th Ave.

Pavement removal starts July 6 with repaving on July 8. One lane of road will stay open.

Road construction in Laketown Township is scheduled to begin next week.

The Allegan County Road Commission will begin work on 66th Street from 146th Avenue to 32nd Street, and 146th Avenue from 66th Street to 64th Street on Monday, July 6, 2026, for a total of about 1.94 miles. Milling – the removal of the top pavement layer – will occur first with resurfacing to start Wednesday, July 8.

Work should be completed by Monday, July 13.

One lane of each road will remain open during work and traffic will be controlled with flag crews.

Pavement marking for the construction was completed last week.
