Sanctuary Woods will close Nov. 3 for tree work

Consumers Energy removing damaged trees from park entrance.

Sanctuary Woods Park, 4750 66th St., will be closed on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, for tree work.

Consumers Energy is planning to remove a tree that fell over the summer causing a power outage. The power company will be using a crane set up in the parking area.

The road will remain open. No power interruptions are planned.

Sanctuary Woods is 40 acres with a lower level and upper level trails linked by 170 wooden steps. A historic Interurban railway bridge is in the park.
