Township hall office hours change on Wednesdays
The hall is now open 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday

The Laketown Township Board of Trustees voted Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2025, to trim back the office hours on Wednesday nights.
Since May, the office has been open from 5-8 p.m. Wednesdays as an experiment to see how many people would use the later hours. No one came in or called in during those hours in May, June or July.
The hours for the township hall are now Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. These hours will remain in effect through Oct. 31. The shorter Friday hours will be evaluated at that time.
In other business, the board:
- Approved Resolution 2025-11 Cadet/Explorer Program presented by Graafschap Fire Department Chief Doug DenBleyker. The resolution allows the fire department to sponsor high school students to take firefighter classes at Careerline Tech Center.
- Directed Trustee Mark Timmerman and Parks and Recreation Commissioner Tom Hoekman to work with Jeff Partyka, facilities operations for the township, to develop specifications for the possible purchase of a tractor.
