Township office closed Monday due to weather

The Laketown Township office is closed today, Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, due to the weather.

Many township services are available on the website at https://laketowntwp.org/

Laketown is included in a winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids for up to 7 inches of snow with winds gusting as high as 60 mph. The weather service has recommended delaying all travel but if you must be on the roads, keep a flashlight, food, water, shovel and blankets in your vehicle in case of emergency.

The Allegan County Road Commission has crews out plowing and treating for ice, “but the extremely windy conditions aren’t helping,” the agency said in a Facebook post about 5:15 this morning. “Please use caution if you have to be on the roads today.”

Laketown’s office, 4338 Beeline Road, is expected to be open on Tuesday, Dec. 30, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
