Treasurer retains seat on township board

Other Republican candidates elected as well.

Current Laketown Township Treasurer Jim Johnson retained his seat on the board of trustees in the only contested race in the township in the Nov. 5, 2024, election.

Johnson, a Republican, received 2,709 votes. Stacey Lefevre, Independent, received 896 votes, according to the Allegan County Clerk’s Office.

All candidates elected are Republicans.

Other local candidates elected are Steve Ringelberg for supervisor, Jim Delaney for clerk, Mark Timmerman and Michael Koeman for the two open trustee positions.

Elected parks commissioners are Mary Jo Bertolino, Brad Laninga, Thomas Evan Hoekman, Sherry Sirko and Michael Teekamp.
