Welcome to Laketown Township!

Founded in 1858, Laketown Township in Allegan County remains a gem in West Michigan, located along Lake Michigan between Holland and Saugatuck. Township residents and visitors alike enjoy our rural, non-commercialized environment and appreciate having family-friendly outdoor recreational opportunities nearby for all ages to enjoy. The uniqueness and personality of the park area surrounding our township hall and our seven different parks help make this possible.

Additionally, the Township Board, commission members, and staff are continually making improvements and upgrades to walking trails, trail markers, and park signage. Most recently, two pickle ball courts were installed behind Laketown Township Hall.

Beyond our township’s natural beauty and recreational offerings, we have an amazing history, too. See for yourself.
